About

Born and raised in Paris, France, at the age of five-year-old Mathis Hoba was first introduced to music when he learned to play the piano. He continued his musical studies at the conservatories and music schools where he extended his music skills to include studying music theory and learning to play the saxophone.

Attracted to new and modern ways of creating music, very early in his life Mathis was able to discover music technology that helped him develop his musical composition’s creativity, to include the use of digital audio workstation.

Mathis added jazz into his genre; he learned to play jazz on the piano and to harmonize it.

With the opportunity to appear time and again in public, in 2016 Mathis met the jazz pianist and composer Jeremy Hababou and by his side Mathis continued to develop his musical talent.

After obtaining his French Baccalaureate degree, Mathis spent one year studying at Rimon School that partners with Berklee College of Music, in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Now based in Los Angeles, California, Mathis graduated from the UCLA film scoring program where he had the opportunity to record his music in prestigious recording studios with some of the best of Hollywood musicians.
